Project Manager

Involved with the overall planning and co-ordination of a project, from inception to completion, aimed at meeting the client's requirements and ensuring completion on time, within cost and to required quality standards.   The duties of the project manager include hiring members of the project team, assigning tasks, organizing and scheduling the development process, and attending to all administrative details.   The project manager will utilize various specialists, tools, techniques, and processes to define the project’s goal and plan all the work necessary to reach that goal.  He/she will lead the project and support teams, monitor progress, and ensure that the project is completed in a satisfactory manner.  

Project Engineer(CONSTRUCTION MGMT & CONTROLMONITORING SYSTEMS)


Supervise & direct project mgmt for large. scale, fast track, high tech. fabrication projects, with/ special emphasis on electronic control, feedback, monitoring & instrumentation systems for the high tech. manufacturing environment & complex manufacturing processes. Design, install, revise & maintain envrmnt-related control systems including clean process inputs (e.g., ultra pure water & air) & electro-mechanical support infrastructure. Design, install, field validate, revise & maintain control systems for manufacturing processes including process flow-through & chemical & base material availability, isolation & handling. Design & implement controls that interlink operations, create positive redundancy, save power, & reduce operational risk & the cost of installation, operation & maintenance. Advise, direct & modify electronic controls instrumentation segments of plans of project design team, prime contractor & subcontractors to systematically coordinate & advance project & meet client time & cost goals. Prepare status reports & perform team lead duties in a managed services envrmnt. Develop processes for system commissioning & operation. Troubleshoot control & monitoring issues & conceive solutions. Provide cutting edge instrumentation control knowledge for large projects. Requirements: 5 yrs. exp. as Lead/Engr./Technician (Controls/Instruments), Director/Project Engineer/Mgr (instrumentation & controls-related) or Project Engnr (construction mgmt & control monitoring systems). Exp. must include 5 yrs project engineering & project/construction mgmt & field validation for control & monitoring systems for multiple critical systems in complex, very large scale, high-tech manufacturing envrmnt, to include theoretical design, field installation/validation, cost benefit & return on investment analysis of control or monitoring & instrumentation functions, working & coordinating w/ lrg.-scale construction project team including designers, facilities owners & multiple contractors, & using professional & team lead-level skills in a managed services envrmnt to theoretically, practically & cost effectively modify & field validate engineering & control designs, document systems, design communication feedback loops, ensure redundancy & maintain project functionalities. Exp. must be in electronic control, instrumentation, feedback & monitoring systems. FT 40 hrs/wk (bonus pay possible);

Cost Estimator

Work within the project team to develop estimates of project cost from conceptual stage through contract document completion.   Duties require ability to read design documents, do quantity take-off, research unit pricing, and understand construction means and methods to accurately estimate project cost.   Job requires technical writing to communicate the results of the cost estimate along with assumptions.  Computer skills and ability to work as part of a team are essential requirements.

Cost Engineer Analyst

Perform highly complex financial and administrative review and reporting for major programs or contracts.   Conduct cost, schedule and contract performance risk analysis reviews, and report findings and advise client on variance.   Develop cost controls, procedures, systems, and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract and program status, and ensure compliance with  client requirements.  A financial background and ability to communicate financial information is necessary.

Quantity Surveyor

Work has elements of cost estimating, cost analysis and procurement activities.   Primarily the QS advises the client on cost and contractual arrangements.  Typical duties include measuring and/or substantiating the work done in the field to ensure interim and final payment requests by the contractors are in-line with the work completed in the field.  Requires a good working knowledge of the construction process, understanding of contractual terms and ability to work as part of a team.

Procurement Specialist

Work with the client to optimize the purchasing of required equipment, supplies and services.   Typical duties include the creation of requests for proposal (RFP), development of sourcing strategies, and analysis of bid responses for life cycle value.  Negotiation of prices, terms & conditions and delivery schedules, development of contract documents are a large part of the duties.   Reporting on vendor post award performance and maintaining information in the client's computerized purchasing system are typically required.

Scheduler

Project scheduler is required to work as part of the project team with the responsibility to develop, communicate and maintain the project schedule.  The project schedule typically involves the creation of a Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule with logic linking multiple activities involving contractor's sourcing of material, labor and equipment.  Familiarity with Primavera (P3) or MS Project software is required.  Ability to complete "what if" scenarios, forecasts and create graphic displays of the project schedule and communicate the scheduling issues to the project team are essential.
